The Minor League veteran Morris is now working with his fourth different organization with the Reds in seven seasons. He missed the entire 2011 season after shoulder surgery. He has been in the upper levels since 2014 and has seen mixed success based on how his stuff is playing. Morris works with both a two-seam and four-seam fastball in the high-80s to low-90s. He gets a cut action on the four-seam and a sink action on the two-seam. He also has a slider in the low-80s and an average at best change. Morris is most successful when he is keeping the ball down and getting ground outs.
