After missing the start of the season with a thigh injury in 2016, Blandino started the season extremely cold. However, once May hit, Blandino got hot and got back to where he is accustomed to. As a natural shortstop, Blandino made the transition to playing second base more often in the 2016 season as well. Blandino mixes doubles gap power with the ability to post a high OBP as his offensive upsides. The batting averages have not followed as much in the upper Minor League levels, but he still has a small sample size to work with.
