In his second go around with the Reds, Simon was signed in Spring Training during the 2016 season. He battled some tendonitis early in the 2016 season, but pitched through it. Simon was originally used by the Reds as a reliever in his first stint, but his stuff played well as a starter and he made the transition in 2014, winning 15 games with a 3.44 ERA. He was an All Star that season as well. After being waived by the Orioles with command issues, he has not seen the same since joining the Reds. At times, Simon has seen his fastball in the mid-90s in his career, but he is sitting in the low-90s now. He throws primarily a two-seam and four-seam fastballs, but also works in a cutter and curveball.
