Ariel Hernandez – RHP

After toiling through the rookie league levels with the Giants and Diamondbacks, then dropping to Independent ball, Hernandez signed with the Reds in the 2016 season. Hernandez has always had crazy good strikeout numbers in his professional career, but also absurd walk totals. After joining the Reds organization, he seems to have found an early home, posting a sub-two ERA through 30 innings and May in 2016 with Low-A Dayton. The K/9 was just south of 12, but the BB/9 was just over five. However, that is under his career total of 6.7 BB/9. Hernandez does have the ability to hit 96 MPH with his fastball.
