Aquino was signed as the Reds as an International free agent out of the Dominican Republic prior to the 2011 season as a teenager. Since, he has started to fill out his lanky frame and some power has followed. In 2014, he hit 16 home runs with rookie league Billings, and already had six long balls through May in 2016 with High-A Daytona. To go along with the power, Aquino is not a high strikeout hitter and combines that with solid OBP numbers. Aquino, who turns just 23 at the beginning of the 2017 season, has five-tool ability, but just needs to put it all together. When he does, it could be scary.
