Dixon was acquired by the Reds with Jose Peraza in the Todd Frazier deal from the Dodgers prior to the 2016 season. Dixon was originally a third baseman with the Dodgers, but transitioned to second prior to the trade. Since the deal, he has seen time at second, third, first, and the outfield in Double-A with the Reds. Dixon has a nice combination of average and developing power that makes him an interesting option at second. He does not likely have the power desired for a corner infielder or outfielder. The strikeout rates are still pretty high, with low walk rates, so he may have a ways to go with pitch recognition as well.
