Chris Berset – C

Berset was originally a 20th round pick by the Reds in 2010. He was originally a quick riser, reaching Double-A by 2012. However, offensive woes had Berset bouncing back and forth between High-A and Double-A until finally getting a cup of coffee in Triple-A in 2014 with three at bats. He spent most of the 2015 season with Louisville, and started there in 2016. Berset is a weaker hitting catcher with no power. He is sitting around .200 for his Minor League career, with just 14 home runs, but none since 2014. Berset is a solid defensive catcher and is appealing as a switch hitter, but the averages have to improve.
