Krauss was originally a 20th round pick by the Reds in the 2014 draft out of Seton Hall. While he made a few starts in his first two pro seasons, Krauss has been used nearly exclusively as a reliever. Krauss has an electric fastball that has the ability to get up into the high-90s. With that fastball, Krauss has shown some wildness at times and elevated walked totals following. However, his K/9 numbers have been extremely strong as well. Krauss has posted an under three ERA since coming up the ranks of A-Ball, but he does have a 1.35 WHIP.
