Donald Lutz – OF

Lutz was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Reds in 2007 and made his big league debut in 2013. Though he was a great athlete, Lutz did not play baseball until he was 14 as his family moved from Germany when he was very young. Since his debut, Lutz bounced back-and-forth between Double-A and Triple-A. He had Tommy John surgery that ended his 2015 season and later led to his release. He was resigned to a Minor League contract. The 6-foot-3, 240 pound Lutz has never struggled with raw power. However, consistency at the plate has been an issue at times.
