Matt Magill – RHP

Magill was acquired by the Reds in 2014 in a trade with the Dodgers for Chris Heisey. Shortly after, Magill had an elbow injury that required Tommy John surgery. Magill has a power sinker that could eventually develop him into a ground ball machine, either as a starter or a reliever. Around the time of the injury, Magill was released by the Reds to clear up a 40-man spot, but was later resigned to a Minor League deal. Magill made his big league debut with the Dodgers in 2013, but has yet to make an appearance for the Reds. Even with the sinker, Magill has been a high strikeout pitcher, but has had issues with walks. Since coming back from the injury, his stuff has played much more hittable as well.
