Ohlendorf was signed during the 2016 Spring Training to add experience and depth to the bullpen. Ohlendorf gives a meaning to the words ‘journey man,’ as he has played for six big league teams over nine seasons. What stands out about Ohlendorf is his old school wind up delivery. Outside of that, he is a tick under five ERA career pitcher, with his FIP being about the same. Half of his 160+ career appearances have come in relief. As his career has gone along, Ohlendorf has added velocity to his fastball and works in the low- to mid-90s. He also mixes in a slider and a changeup.
