A year after being drafted in the 34th round by the Colorado Rockies out of the University of Arizona, the Reds did one round better in 2011. Since then, Selsky has quietly been successful, posting a .295 career batting average in the Minor Leagues. The power numbers were better for Selsky in the lower levels, but he has still shown the ability to get on base in Double-A and Triple-A. However, 2016 will be Selsky’s third straight season in Triple-A, after starting 2014 in Double-A. He has proven to be a greater than .280 hitter at the level, but nearly no power. He also strikes out nearly 30 percent of the time at the plate.
