Strahan was originally a third round pick by the Reds in 2014 out of USC. After seeing success in his first two seasons, and advancing to High-A in 2016, his season was cut short by Tommy John surgery in May. Used exclusively as a starter in the lower Minor League levels, showed solid command and good strikeout numbers while posting a 2.76 ERA in Billings in 2014 and a 2.79 ERA in 2015 in Low-A. He was off to a strong start in High-A before the injury as well. His stuff does play somewhat hittable, with around a knock per inning. This leads to a slightly higher WHIP. Strahan throws a hard sinker and a curve.
