Cozart has been a solid offensive and defensive shortstop for the Reds since his arrival in 2011. He has also shown nice pop in his bat for the position, hitting over 100 doubles and nearly 50 home runs in just under six big league seasons. The Reds will have a decision to make on Cozart, as he becomes a free agent after the 2016 season, and Jose Peraza has the look of a possible replacement at shortstop then. Combined with turning 31 in August and coming off a right knee injury that ended his 2015 season, it appears that the end as a Red is near for the shortstop. This said, Cozart has been strong offensively to start the 2016 campaign at the top of the order.
