With the Major League All-Star Game set to take the main stage, Tuesday is set to be a light night within the Reds organization and Minor League baseball as a whole.
Reds – Major League All-Star Game
Notes: Adam Duvall will make his first appearance in an All-Star Game, while Jay Bruce will make his third. Both players will act as reserve outfielders for the National League. Duvall was added by the coaches as a reserve and Bruce was added as an injury replacement for the Cubs’ Dexter Fowler. The game airs on Fox at 8 p.m. EST.
Louisville – off
Biloxi at Pensacola, 7:30 p.m. EST
Starting pitcher: Sal Romano (1-10, 4.89 ERA, 1.55 WHIP, 82 K, 26 BB)
Notes: Sal Romano makes his 17th start of the season for Pensacola on Tuesday night. The season has not been what the prospect had in mind after first reaching the Double-A level at the end of last season. The good news is that the last time out against Biloxi was arguably his strongest outing of the season and accounts for his one win. Romano went six innings, allowing five hits and two earned runs (one unearned), while striking out eight.
