St. Louis at Cincinnati, 7:10 p.m. EST
Starting pitcher: Dan Straily (6-6, 3.84 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, 97 K, 50 BB)
Notes: Dan Straily was lights out in his last start in San Francisco in beating Madison Bumgarner. In the game, Strailey threw 90 pitches over 7.2 innings of three-hit ball. He allowed just one run on a solo homer. Dan Straily will make his 20th start and 23rd appearance for the Reds in 2016 on Tuesday. Straily has been on a nice run for the Reds with five straight quality starts in July. In July, where he has worked 33.2 innings, and given up just 19 hits and nine runs, while walking 10 and striking out 23.
Louisville at Toledo, 7:05 p.m. EST
Starting pitcher: John Lamb (2-2, 6.04 ERA, 1.50 WHIP, 25 K, 7 BB)
Notes: John Lamb will make his third Triple-A start since being optioned earlier in the month. In his first start, Lamb struck out 10. In his second start, Lamb tossed six shutout innings, allowing just two hits. It appears that Lamb is regaining the confidence that the Reds sent him back to find.
Mississippi at Pensacola, 7:30 p.m. EST
Starting pitcher: Jackson Stephens (6-10, 3.39 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, 92 K, 33 BB)
Notes: Jackson Stephens has been the model consistency for Pensacola this season. He has gone at least five innings in 18 of his 19 starts. He also had a 5.1-inning relief appearance. His WHIP has remained under 1.20 most of the season and he has struck out at least five in nine of his outings. In four of his last six starts, he has went at least six innings, with the other two being five-inning outings. In his last start, Stephens worked into the seventh, but was beaten on some soft contact and bad luck, giving up three runs.
Daytona is off on Tuesday night and back in action in a double header on Wednesday.
Bowling Green at Dayton, 7:00 p.m. EST
Starting pitcher: Austin Orewiler (2-9, 3.53 ERA, 1.42 WHIP, 57 K, 32 BB)
Notes: Orewiler has hit a bit of a rough patch in his season. In three of his last five starts, he has allowed at least eight hits and four runs. After allowing seven runs in back-to-back outings, Orewiler rebounded with two quality starts in July. However, in his last start on July 28, Orewiler reverted back and allowed nine hits and four runs over five innings. He did strike out five though.
The Mustangs are off for the Pioneer League All-Star break.
The AZL Reds are off on Tuesday and return to action on Wednesday.
