Alex Webb, RHP

Alex Webb was selected by the Reds in the ninth round of the 2016 draft from the University of British Columbia (Canada). He was selected in the 36th round the year before, but returned to college. Webb started 2016 with Billings and made five appearances before being promoted to Dayton. Though the five were relief appearances, Webb started in Dayton. With Billings, he posted an 0.79 ERA and an 0.97 WHIP. He struck out nine hitters in 11.1 innings of work. Webb works with a fastball in the low-90s, as well as an average curve and change up.
