The Reds are off on Thursday and return to action Friday night in Arizona.

louisville

Louisville at Indianapolis, 7:05 p.m. EST

Starting pitcher: Robert Stephenson (6-9, 4.66 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, 106 K, 65 BB)

Notes: Robert Stephenson will make his first start since being publicly called out by his manager and told he should feel “embarrassed” by his recent play after a two-inning start. The main culprit is when he can’t find the strike zone and walks haunt the right hander. Stephenson has allowed 14 walks in his last five starts. However, he has also allowed 32 hits over that span. At one point, Stephenson was the top prospect in the organization. Now he is trying to salvage a disaster of a season in his last few starts and at least earn a September call up.

pensacola

Mobile at Pensacola, 7:30 p.m. EST

Starting pitcher: Sal Romano (5-7, 3.64 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 127 K, 32 BB)

Notes: Sal Romano has been hot from July into August. He posted a 2.25 ERA in six starts for Pensacola in July. So far in August, Romano has been even better. He has posted a 2.13 ERA in four starts and 25.1 innings. In his last start, he earned a no decision after working eight shutout innings, allowing four hits and striking out eight.

daytona

Lakeland at Daytona, 7:05 p.m. EST

Starting pitcher: TBD

Notes: The starter is listed as TBD on the Daytona website, but it would be Tejay Antone’s turn in the rotation. Antone was named Pitcher of the Month for Daytona for July. For the month, Antone started five games and posted a 2.32 ERA with a 1.16 WHIP. After average numbers for the first two months, and struggling his way though June with an ERA near six. In three August starts, he has been just as solid, posting a 2.16 ERA and struck out 19 in 25 innings. In each of his last two starts, he has allowed 10 hits in six innings. In the first, he allowed three runs, and a pair of unearned runs in the second.

dayton

Lansing at Dayton, 7:00 p.m. EST

Starting pitcher: Austin Orewiler (3-12, 4.08 ERA, 1.49 WHIP, 73 K, 46 BB)

Notes: Orewiler has hit a bit of a rough patch in his season. He allowed 10 and 11 hits in back-to-back starts. After allowing seven runs in back-to-back outings, Orewiler rebounded with two quality starts in July. However, since, Orewiler had reverted back and allowed four, eight, and five runs in three straight starts. On August 15, he worked five shutout innings with two hits, but five days later, he worked just three innings with five hits and four runs allowed.

billings

Billings at Missoula, 9:05 p.m. EST

Starting pitcher: Scott Moss (2-0, 1.72 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, 22 K, 9 BB)

Notes: Scott Moss will make his ninth start of the season for Billings after being selected in the fourth round of the June draft. Moss has done nothing but live up to the hype in those starts as well. He has worked into at least the fifth in his last four starts and in five of his last six. However, his last start was the best of his pro career, as he went six shutout innings, allowing just four hits and striking out seven.

reds

AZL Reds at AZL White Sox, 9 p.m. EST

Starting pitcher: TBD
